FDA to Review Over-The-Counter Drugs

After a ProPublica investigation into the dangers of acetaminophen and the cumbersome process of regulating over-the-counter drugs, the Food and Drug Administration announced it would review the process for overseeing these drugs.

ProPublica’s investigation chronicled the difficulty the FDA had in regulating the proper use of acetaminophen, which is used in Tylenol and a variety of other medications and can cause liver damage with frequent use. However, the change in regulations will also affect many more drugs.

GoldenbergLaw’s personal injury lawyers have not only seen how dangerous drugs can injure innocent people across the country; we’ve seen how serious problems can slip through the cracks if the right regulatory processes are not in place.
