Elevated Lead in Food

Lead is a poison that, even at low levels, can damage the kidneys and nervous system. In higher doses, lead can cause seizures and even death. Children under six are at particular risk from lead exposure as it can cause irreversible damage during brain development. However, elevated lead levels in food place both adults and children at risk, making the issue something that demands immediate attention.

Food contamination is never acceptable and companies that place consumers at risk may be liable for any damages that occur.
