BMW Recall

BMW has announced plans to issue a recall for 136,188 vehicles on December 5th. reports that the issue is linked to loose wires in the fuel pump that can cause the connector to melt, allowing fuel to leak. According to BMW, no accidents or injuries have yet been linked to the problem.

Models impacted by the recall include:

  • Various X5 models manufactured between 2007-2011
  • Various X6 models manufactured between 2008-2011
  • Various Gran Turismo models manufactured between 2010-2011
  • Various 528i, 535i, and 550i models manufactured between 2011-2012
  • Various 650i models manufactured in 2012
