Propecia and Proscar (Finasteride)
Proscar is a 5mg pill first approved by the FDA in 1992 to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate gland). Propecia, approved by the FDA in 1997 to treat male pattern baldness, comes in 1mg form. Finasteride, a generic drug, can come in 5mg form or 1mg form to replace either of these drugs. At this time, GoldenbergLaw is no longer accepting Propecia and Proscar cases.
Case Quick Facts
An unknown percentage of men worldwide who took forms of Finasteride have experienced certain physical and mental side effects. Upon discontinuing use of Propecia or Proscar, these men expected to return to their previous state. However, even after discontinuing the drug, many of these men’s endocrine systems were not able to return to normal. These men continue to experience side effects to the same, or sometimes even worse, degree.
Psychological side effects have also been reported to persist even after taking the drug. If you have taken Propecia, Proscar, or another form of Finasteride and have experienced any of these side effects during and after taking the drug, you may be entitled to compensation.
