Levaquin

Levaquin is a prescription drug in a class of antibiotics called Fluroquinolones. These antibiotics have been linked to tendon ruptures, especially those of the Achilles tendon and rotator cuff.

In July of 2008, the FDA required the manufacturers of all Fluroquinolones to add a "black box' warning required by the FDA, it is alleged that Levaquin causes tendon ruptures at a higher rate than other comparable drugs within its class. These classes have been have all been consolidated in Federal District in Minnesota.
